Direct Premium Subscriptions Now Available

Howdy folks! Just a short update this time, want to keep you posted on what's happening and what'll be happening soon!

New Premium Payment Method

We're pleased to announce that users can now subscribe to Tupperbox Premium directly through tupperbox.app, with no need to sign up for a Patreon account! From now on, this will be our recommended way of paying for Tupperbox Premium. We're hoping that this new checkout flow will provide a vastly more convenient experience for our Premium users, who in the past have had to create a Patreon account just to subscribe.

The new checkout flow will allow you to purchase and manage your Premium subscription directly through the dashboard.

If you are a current Premium user, you can now also see your Premium status and some info about your Patreon account through this page.

Q: What should I do if I'm already a Premium user?

If you're happy with using Patreon to manage your Premium subscription, just keep it as is! We currently plan on supporting Premium subscriptions through Patreon for the forseeable future. This change is mainly just important for future subscribers that don't want to make or link their Patreon account.

More Quality of Life Stuff!

Since the last blog post, we've rolled out a couple of quality of life upgrades for the bot as well. Check out the support server's #announcements channel to see the full range of patch notes. We've gotten almost all of our outstanding recorded bugs fixed, including the bugs on the Dashboard as well! If you have any more bugs with the bot or the dashboard, be sure to report them in the support server. We're always looking for new ways to improve the user experience!

Future Plans

We've got a couple of new Quality of Life features in the pipeline right now, such as:

  • Manage your Tupperbox Server Settings on the Dashboard (For server owners)
  • Bot Diagnosis tools to help you figure out why tuppers won't work
  • Upgrading Premium avatar upload tool to allow cropping before upload
  • Fixing a rare but annoying bug with Tupper names
  • Reworking the ❓ proxy action with options for more details

That's the sort of stuff that's in our immediate focus. Once we're done with that, we're going to take another look at implementing Variants, see if we can get that finished by the end of the year!

If you have any feedback about our current direction, want to report a bug, or just give Roryl a pat on the head, head on over to the support server!
